fit for a king ......

this wonderful old patisserie on Rue Montorgueil
was started way back in 1730 and is the
"oldest patisserie in Paris"

Nicolas Stohrer was official baker to the King Louis xv
now that's as good as it gets!!

without a doubt I think the products here
are the finest in all of France
however you will need to take much cash
or a well loaded credit card!!

Don't forget to look up to admire the wonderful murals and frescoes
painted by the artist Paul-Jacques-Baudy
the same artist who painted the ceiling in the grand-foyer
of the Paris Opera House

What a delightful looking place!!! I would love to spend some time and money there -- although my scales might not be happy to have me stepping on them after such a sweet feast!! I do love the art work on the ceiling!! Hope you have a great week!!

Gros bisous ☼
