we must carry it with us or we find it not

at the mount ......

~ Mont-Saint-Michel   Normandie France  ~

I would have liked to have visited this wonderful
world heritage listed site when the tide was full
and water surrounded the mount !!
but alas us tourists don't always have a choice
and on the southern side a chanel of water still remained
giving a small window for reflections

I know what you mean.. not even in the same realm of things but we've just returned from maine and in Kenneybunkport I wished it was high tide..;)Not early morn low tide..which is virtually no water.

What an awesome place!! I know it would have been even lovelier had the tide been in, but it's still beautiful!!

I don't think I've ever seen a nicer photo of this magnificent place. I hope one day to be able to see it in person!

This delightful view has a touch of fantasy. Love the curved trail inviting the curious to look closer.

Never get tired of seeing photos this wonderful place. We visited in 2011. Stayed at a hotel nearby and ate at a old castle.

Always worth a visit and great reflection. I'd love it if you'd play along with Dreaming of France. Here’s my Dreaming of France meme

I have always been intrigued by Mt. St. Michael. Years ago I saw a movie'
about it called (wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Dolphin_Street) Green Dolphin Street.
Years Later I married a Jazz Sax player and they played" Green Dolphin Street"
for me all the time. It's a beautiful song.
