Though we travel the world to find the beautiful

we must carry it with us or we find it not

A Gaggle of Geese in Sarlat .......

There's always something interesting to see and capture
in French rural villages .... I spotted this gaggle of bronze geese
in a small square in the heart of foie-gras country

Le Shopping .........

Shopping in Paris
way too expensive for me but I love to see
fashionably dressed ladies emerging from the creme-de- la-creme boutiques
and being ushered into chauffer driven limousins

Others like myself are quite content to window shop

Roses in Paris ......

~  pour vous ... un bouquet de roses  ~

One of my favourite Fleuriste in Paris is
this little boutique which is aptly named
~  Au Nom de la Rose  ~

I love how buckets and bowls of flowers
are left to spill out onto the pavement
where passers-by are more than happy to
walk out around them so that nothing is damaged.
Not an inconvenience at all!

Stohrer's ... Fit for a King ......

The oldest patisserie in Paris opened by Louis XV's pastry chef
~ en Paris depuis 1730 ~
now that's what I call old!

I can't imagine a trip to this beautiful city without a visit to Stohrer's on Rue Montorgueil
decked out with exquisite murals by Paul Baudry
who was also partly responsible for the interior decor
of L'Opera Garnier.

Once you're through looking at the decor
cast your eyes over the myriad of viennoiseries
gateaux - terrines - petites salade - jambons - fromages
Your mind will boggle and so will your bank balance if you get too carried away!

La Pyramide du Louvre .........

Controversial it may be
but as darkness falls and the lights come on
you can't help but admire the beauty of this Parisian landmark
