Sarlat is a medieval village in the lovely area of the Dordogne
Each morning I awoke to the tolling of bells
from the 12th century Sainte-Marie bell tower.
Peeking out my turrett window I saw gas-lamps
catching shafts of morning mist
alley-ways golden from the first breath of daylight.
................................
The village didn't waken till a much later hour
time then to mozzie on down and gather up
a few goodies for le petite-dejeuner.

You've captured a charming and delightful atmosphere with this collage, Dianne - I can almost imagine being there!
What a beautiful village to wander through whilst its residents sleep.
oh I would so love to be there. I have always longed to stay in a little village in France. We have only visited once a few years ago. I adored it and would love to go back. I can see why you have a thing about France!
I am looking forward to seeing more.
have a wonderful week.

A friend and I were just talking about Untours the other day where you settle into a place and take part in the daily life instead of just a blitz tour. This place looks like a perfect location for such a vacation. Was that little cutie in the upper right corner a neighbor or your housemate? :-)
Enchanting and magical all wrapped up in a romantic wrapper! This place looks marvelous!
Really wonderful!!

I'm ecstatic over your header. I was there photographing for a magazine my last day in Paris. Isn't it the most beautiful shop???

What a splendid little village!
Wow! What a beautiful place it is. My husband passed by Dordogne to see the marvelous caves of Lascaux. He was on a cycling tour at that time :)
