Misty skies in the far distance only serve to heighten the
intricate lacy structure of Paris' most famous monument
"La Tour Eiffel"
Any time of the day and in all weather
she is still beautiful.
Having never been to Paris, I had no idea the Eiffel Tower was this huge! I've only seen the image in its entirety, but when seen like this, it really depicts it's true size! Great composition!
To me, there is no more beautiful, awesome sight than the Eiffel Tower and it is one my most favorite memories of my time in Paris! And this is one AWESOME capture, Dianne!! Breathtaking!! Thanks for sharing!!
You must have taken that from some height! Great angle:) We went here so hubby and son could climb (and say they did it:) ), but his sister and I stayed down with the backpacks, and hiding my cookies when a gypsy woman started taking them (without me offering them!)
Hard to belief that once people found the Eiffel Tower a monstrosity. I especially like the angle from whcih you took the shot. As it so happens my girlfriend an I were in Paris, last december. A few of the pictures we took there are in my previous Skywatch blogpost...Feel free to come by! ;-)
I just became a follower. I haven't ever seen that the cars don't actually go straight though under the tower. Instead a road on one side and a road on the other side. This angle that you took the photograph in is eye opening to say the least. Thank you for the Skywatch Friday post. It was enlightening. JM Illinois U.S.A.
Such a great perspective for shooting the ET. I agree with your thoughts on returning to favorite travel places when the photos start running low. Have actually been thinking of sharing some of my France photos, especially Paris scenes. too. Love your header--reminds me of the flower shop saw in Paris.
I love seeing a section of the Eiffel Tower and the contrast to the city behind it. Hope you'll play along with my Dreaming of France meme on Monday. Here’s my Dreaming of France meme

What a wonderful shot. I've never see the Eiffel Tower in person or at this angle in photos. Some day I hope too.

My sky.
beautiful photo... I know my daughter is excited to see the tower with her own eyes when she travels to Paris in April on a school trip:-)
Hi Dianne,
Love your photo ... Paris and the Eiffel tower look magnificent even if the skies are misty or rainy.
