~ Aquitiane France ~
There's something magical about wandering the honey colored
cobbled lane-ways in medieval French villages
You just never know what's going to be around the next bend
turrets and towers ... wrought iron signage .... passages under archways
cafe's and brasseries which entice you to linger a while
Olde-world roses that trail along stone-carved balconies

Beautiful post. I feel almost like I went for a walk down the streets in France. Gorgeous photos too.

Hi Dianne,
What a beautiful shot of Aquitiane! No 20th century clutter. . .cars or scooters. The scene probably hasn't changed for hundreds of years.
I like the sun highlighting of the building fronts in the center of the photo..
Great job!
Ah, all the things that I loved about France!! Thanks for the wonderful memories, Dianne!! Hope your weekend is going well!
Looks blissful there
Beautiful France!
xo
Dear Dianne
La belle France - I miss her so!!!
I love the little cobbled streets with a bend tempting you to follow and see whats over the hill!
I'm not sure if I've been to Aquitane - I'll have to get out my Michelin map where I've traced my trips!
I'm happy anywhere in France it's all beautiful.
I've just had a phone call from my 9y GD who is making me a 'Bonne Année' card!! These can be sent up until the end of January!
Lovely to hear from you and I hope you're not affected by the terrible fires - we can see the devastation on the TV news. A party of NZ firefighters flew over last week to help out where they can - NSW & Tassy I think.
take care
hugs
Shane

Beautiful area!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I'd love to walk there!
Oh, my. That first photo made me heave a heavy sigh. I so want to be there.
Thanks for playing along. I just joined as one of your more than 500 followers! Here’s my Dreaming of France meme
I am literally dreaming of France. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous images.
Thanks for the lovely tour, your photos are beautiful. I love the ivy covered wall and the gas lamp. The strawberries look yummy. Have a happy week!
I so enjoy seeing the wonderfully old buildings. I hope to see them myself one day, until then, thanks so much for sharing your part of the world.
Those cobbled lanes look so inviting.
Love the cobbled lane and I love Paris!
Love the magical romance of that laneway! I would spend a long time wandering such tempting settings! And love the old lamp and sign! Beautiful photos!
Thanks for them, these old structures are so informative of the culture that passed. I fully understand why you come back again and again. You should see Strasbourg and La Petite, France, plus the mountains of Turkey like Ibradi and the communities around there, magnificent old structures as well. If only i have more funds i will do what you are doing as well, thanks for this tour!
these are utterly romantic--especially the 2nd photo with ivy on the walls.
Oh wow - love the tones in the first two shots. What a charming place!
What a lovely post, almost as good as taking the walk with you....
So pretty!
Beautiful images Dianne. L'Aquitaine is just next to us and a wonderful region..you really did some traveling on your trip it seems?

Beautiful shots.
LOVE it! I'm so glad you came by to share on Weekly Top Shot #65!
Stunning photography. Love your photos. In this group, that first one so beautifully captures the light and shade and honey colours you find in the French 'ruelles.' Don't you love that word!
Thanks for your visit today. You know I think a lot of tourists miss the back of the casino building. They just don't thik to go down there and really it's more beautiful than the front.
