If you've seen the movie "Chocolat" starring Julliette Binoche
you might remember the opening scene where Vianne Rocher and her daughter Anouk
drift into a little french village and set up a chocolate shop.
These shots were taken in the quaint village of Beynac Dordogne where filming
commenced before moving across to Flavigny-sur-Ozerain in Burgundy

Oh, what a quaint, wonderful, old village!! You never see anything like this in the states because we're still such a "young" country in comparison!! Your captures are terrific, Dianne! I love being able to see the old stone work!! Fantastic! Thanks for sharing! Hope you've had a great weekend and are ready for a great week as well!
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Absolutely my kind of shots and memories of rural France and I adored "Chocolat".
Superbe....
Cela me donne envie de le visiter,
Pierre
Your pictures make me want to visit again too- it was so long ago. I like the warm tones and interesting textures of the stone. And I enjoyed the film too!
Hi Dianne,
Chocolat is one of my favourite movies and it was wonderful to see the little village where some of the movie was made. Such a charming and quaint village.
Happy Tuesday
