Provence - silk painting.....

Looking towards  Mount Ventoux in the Luberon

I thought I would share with you this delightful silk painting
spotted at a village market in Provence.
The square could be purchased and used as a scarve
or just left on the mount and hung on a wall.

 The colours were so vibrant
and aptly depicted -  this beautiful area of the Luberon!

Indeed. I have promised myself that I will purchase a painting of my favourite places on my next visit there - there is always the question of space while travelling - well --I will make some.

Be still, my heart! A scarf? With an interpretation of Provence? My only problem would have been how to use it both ways!

I think I'll put a jog up Mount Ventoux down for my next trip - hah!

Hi Dianne! Your posts of Provence are awesome!! Maybe I'm suspect, because I adore the region... ;)

Blogtrotter Two is waiting for you in Corsica with the views from Le Goeland Hotel room 15 and the Bocche di Bonifacio! Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

It's so amazing how some artists can make it look so easy to paint a scene like this,a dib here, a daub there, et voila, it's so beautiful, would be lovely hanging up!

As a world class scarfaholic, I'd be tempted to wear it but it would seem a shame to fold it and lose this lovely landscape!

Dianne, êtes-vous à nouveau en balades dans le Lubéron ?
Vous qui aimez tant les marchés de Provence, venez faire un tour du côté de chez moi dans les Alpilles, ils sont très beaux aussi !
A bientôt
