Out And About In Cannes.....

Where the French go for Les Vacances d'été

Cannes isn't only about glitz and glamour
it's a holiday town with beautiful beaches and real sand that you can wriggle your toes in
stunning scenery -  amazing restaurants and wonderful weather.
And if you enjoy people and car watching...... you would love it!

It is a lovely place Dianne! I got to see it in winter but havent had the pleasure in summer.
I will never forget seeing a trailer dropping off porches. The trailer was loaded with different colours. I think they were for holiday goers.
It's a different life isnt is?

And the cars Dianne - more glitzy super cars than I've seen anywhere else (except perhaps Monaco)!

I would love to go and see it as it is 50 + years since I went to Cannes!!! Not my idea of a holiday though, I hate crowds and masses of people. Give me a quiet little beach far from the maddening crowd every time. Diane

Just like a postcard, Dianne! I must say, the sand looks much nicer than I expected. Have a beautiful weekend...

Ah, the French Riviera. One of the most charming and beautiful places on earth. I was surprised at how cold the Mediterranean was and how rocky the beach was, but of course nothing could take away from the beauty of the moment. You've brought back wonderful memories for me Diane.

I didn't know Kim and she didn't know me either but I think I can say now that those three days together made us very good friends ... I love blogs for things like that ...

initially I thought the beach was crowded but with a second look I realize this end in the foreground has mostly empty chairs. the other end isn't even all that bad. the light you've captured is blindingly beautiful. what an exotic spot. thanks for sharing. I hope you're having a lovely weekend. and thanks for visiting my blog, I truly appreciate it!
