More Rambles around Place Du Tertre....

Choices - choices
There are lots of these portrait booths
and I guess the best way to choose is by by watching
 some-one having their portrait  done

This little booth had the lovely name of
"La Mere Catherine"

I have often watched these artists at work and have been tempted. They are generally quite expensive though!!! Great photos. Diane

I love this scene as it plays out in Montematre. The interplay of the artists there and the public is fun.

I had my portrait drawn in charcoal many years ago and didn't care for it unfortunately. However I'm crazy about a characture I had done in Brennan's restaurant and still have it hanging on my wall.

I bought two paintings there when we visited and they are still on my mantel. One of my favorite places and memories. Cheri

D,
You might be surprised to learn that of all of my trips to Paris, I['ve only been here twice. Once was Jan.09 when it was so cold that only a very few artists were out . It is touristy but still something you must see when in Paris. Not all the art is bad. My daughter bought some very nice sketches there.

Hi Dianne,

Oh I remember all the Artists up at Montmartre and some of them were real persistent and wanted to do our portrait.
Your photo could not have been more different to mine, it was winter and everyone was wearing overcoats, boots, hats and scarves.

Happy Wednesday
Hugs

Again the memories come flooding back.
Like Carolyn, I've been there in Winter and the artists were very pushy!
But in Summer it's easy to get lost in the crowd and just observe!!!
