Le Petit Train de Montmartre.....

Waiting on Le Boulevard de Clichy  for this little train
to take us up to Place de Tertre
It wound around the narrow cobbled  stone streets - giving us
wonderful views of the
 lovely old Montmartre neighbourhood.

Hi Dianne,

Oh how lovely, as that is where we were staying up on the hill of Montmartre and walked all around the cobbled stone streets.
I love the black and white photograph.

Hope that you are having a lovely week
Hugs
Carolyn

Dearest Dianne,

Great 'Ambiance' and I love the carousel; so much like in my childhood days... The deep south of The Netherlands is very much like France in many ways. They call it the Burgundian culture.

Lots of love,

Mariette

Wish we knew there was a Petite Train. We walked all the way. Dodging the annoying photographers wanting to take your picture. Bur again, you take in the scenes and discard the fluff.

Seems like an ideal way to see the scenes. I like to take carriage rides when I can.

Dianne said...

Honest Abe:- the beauty of these petit trains is that it only cost about 6-7 euros. I used these little trains in Cannes - Monaco - Avignon and Paris.

I"ve seen this cut little tram but never ridden it. Can you get good shots from there or does it move too quickly?

Dianne said...

Virginia:- Yes you can get a few good shots but they are random - when the train stops for traffic etc - once it's moving it's a point and shoot and hope for the best.
