Buskers play Mozart......

Buskers playing a beautiful rendition of a piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
in the shadow of L'Eglise Saint Eustache .
A magnificent gothic gem situated at the southern end of
Rue Montorgueil in the 1st arrondissment.

I later learned that the funeral of Mozart's Mother took place in this church

Love this, the every day things you notice on travels are the best. Especially the unplanned. x

Stayed at an apartment last year for two weeks a little further up Rue Montorgueil at Rue Marie Stuart.
A magic area with great produce for foodies that like to cook at home. A great place for people who don't want to cook at home. Well, really - just a great place.
Thanks for bringing back the memories. Back next year and hopefully the same apartment.

Wish I had the skill to make money by playing a musical instrument! Great photo. Diane

How enchanting to stroll by and listen to the music. I've played a lot of Mozart on the piano in my life and made a point to visit his home in Salzbug when we were there. How interesting that his mother's funeral was here instead of Austria.

Sam:- Yes that does seem a bit odd - I don't know the story behind why this church was used.

Leon and Sue:- do you mind sharing the name of the appartment you stayed in - would love to put in my Paris notebook for future reference. That's if you don't mind.

Never knew the word Buskers..I had seen it..now I know..Thank you.
My one regret about our trip to France is that I did not buy some CDs from some buskers..I watch them on our home movies..and wish I had them!

What a perfect shot of a Paris street! I love it, Dianne! Brought back lots of lovely memories! Where else but France can you hear Mozart by a street group!! Fantastic! Hope your week is going well!

Diane - the apartment was from "Vacations in Paris" and we paid in USA$ which was pretty good last year and even better now. We would return to the same apartment.
