St Remy-De-Provence........

~Brasserie Des Varietes on Boulevard Victor-Hugo~

Whilst staying in Provence we hired a mini bus and driver for a few day outings
this turned out to be an excellent choice because our guide and driver Alain
knew all the best little backroads, villages and eateries
plus with the cost divided between 5 people - it worked out very economical
and we were all able to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Great idea, especially if you want to visit the vineyards. No arguing over who's the designated driver! I still haven't been out to that town, will get there eventually.

Bonjour Dianne. I am going to have to email you for ideas. We are staying in St Remy for 7 nights at a beautiful little Mas we found - they are doing half board and it looks so fun. Pointers please.
I had the pleasure to go through this area last year and fell in love.

Have a wonderful week.

Hi Dianne,

I love the gorgeous sunflowers.
Such a great idea with the mini bus, we hired a car and that was nerve wracking with the speed they travel and then with the left hand drive cars. Phew!
I breathed a silent sigh of relief when we got the car safely back to the hire place.

Happy week
Hugs

A group of friends and I did the same thing in January. Not your typical time to visit, but we loved being some of the only ones at the touristy sites.

J'adore St. Rémy!

St. Remy is such a beautiful little town...not far from me at all. Hiring a car is a GREAT idea. Yesterday, I went to Bandol to the Domaine Tempier. The wines were divine, the pours were generous, and I had to do that horrible thing of tasting and throwing because I was driving. Never again!

You give us the dreamiest photos to view. As always, these are wonderful. The place mats in the first shot are so typically French, and the daisies in the second one are lovely.

St. Remy is my favorite French village. Looks like they've upgraded the chairs since I was there. Great photos.

I like the idea of the mini bus. Will make a note of it for future trips.
