Pretty Touches in French Country Homes.....

I love the way the French dress up there homes
with those little special little touches.

bowls of foil wrapped sweets
with just a few discreetly scattered underneath

Gossamer curtains to add that touch of elegance to personal spaces

And soft throws on lounge chairs
should I sit on there?    I did.

Hi Dianne,

This is a lovely post and yes, the French do seem to have a way with getting the attention to detail just right.
Your photographs are gorgeous.

Happy week

Dearest Dianne,

Guess I grew up with merely all French touches as our Province is so Burgundian... That's what we did take with us to the USA, it is all over in our home.

Lots of love,

Yes, it's their "je ne sais quoi", sometimes hard for us to put our finger on, but so much a part of the french!
Love the sweeties tumbled over below the bowl, as though a child put their hand in deep to find the "special" one at the bottom of the bowl!
Happy Easter Dianne

Thank you, Dianne, for stopping by Paree!

Looking at this post, I realized I've never been in a French home. I've been in a hotel in Paris, but that's about it. I think I'm missing a lot! Beautiful pictures!

Virginia:- this was a lovely family home in Provence where they rented out rooms for overnight visitors - very comfy!

Bonjour Dianne,
The French do have that certain something with decorating - I'm still trying to fit in and get the hang of it (I'm an AMerican expat in Paris). Let's both get dressed up and meet on the street pictured on my blog! Sounds like fun!
Hope you're week if going well.

I do wish there were more shower curtains in French bathrooms instead of the internal struggle with the wretched spray of water that gets on everything but where you want it.
