Oh, I have seen this too and know from my many trips to Paris that one does not touch any merchandise. I have found one exception which is in the street market of Marché d'Aligre, a very casual and noisy market, a melange of nationalities.Bises,Genie
Talk about "picture perfect"! What a beautiful market! I'd be afraid to touch anything, but would love to go shopping there! I'm hungering for some fresh fruit right now!! Terrific post/photos for the day as always! Hope your week is off to a great start!Sylvia
Miam, miam, miam !
So beautiful! I want one of everything!
That display is picture perfect! The vendors are pretty relaxed here in Aix en Provence. Well, except for the cherry guy, who nearly put an eye out slapping his own forehead as I served MYSELF. Quelle horreur!
My daughter found this out last time in Paris and was convinced to buy two of something because it was just better! I am learning theses ways. Aren't the displays devine? I m surprised you were allowed to take a picture x
Hi Dianne,I love your pretty photos and yes makes me want to buy a few of everything.Hope that you have a lovely weekHugsCarolyn
hehehe I know what you mean about "don't touch". The fruits look delicious, those strawberries are my favorites!Léia
What vibrant produce! No wonder you couldn't resist.
So incredibly beautiful, wonderful photos Dianne. I cannot imagine our American supermarkets taking such pride in their produce! I hope you have a wonderful new week? Sending my best to you ~ Deb
I can't be sure that I"ve ever been reprimanded but I don't think so. I am more careful in clothing shops etc about touching. In the food markets I don't think I knew the rules! V
Dearest Dianne,Oh, I got a rebuttal in Italy, while living and working near Venice, for touching the fruits that I wanted to select... Here in the USA at Whole Foods the display is very pretty too and you are allowed to touch!Lots of love,Mariette
I've made that mistake myself. You only do it once.... But how can I help myself with such beautiful fruit?
It would be hard for me to simply point and say I'll take that one. These fruits are too beautiful!
