Reflections on Reflections.......

This photo encaptures all that I love about Maison Stohrer
on the Rue Montorgueil - macarons, etched glass
elegant deep creme gladiola stems
chandelier light reflecting off ribbon- tied cellaphane parcels
brioche ronde and bottles of sweet rose.
I never cease to be amazed when stepping inside this
wonderfully Parisian patisserie
so... much to see I find I have to quiet my heart and mind
take a breath and savour the experience
from the chunky ~terrine du lapin~
to the decadent  ~puits d'amour~
I love it all!

Oh me too Dianne, last time in Paris this area was closed. I was most upset. I went on a Monday I think.
This time -- I have two weeks. :) Lots of time to explore.

Oh, I love this place, the ambiance, the floor tiles, the macarons, and certainly ... the reflections here!

Suzi: I really hope you have the chance to visit this time - note the pretty murals on the walls by Paul Baudry - the same artist who decorated the Grand Foyer of the Palais Garnier - and as Genie said the beautiful turquoise tiled floor with Stohrer scrolled in gold.

Genie: Thank you for reminding me about those beautiful floor tiles - so much to take in.
