Le Batobus.....

When in Paris I love to ride the unique water transport,
commonly known as le-batobus
( these boats are smaller than the touristy and more commonly used, bateaux mouches)
.....................

Our nearest hop on /hop off point was at Tour Eiffel
from where we were able to transverse the circular route twice,
once in the late afternoon, then another just as the sun was setting and those pretty
antique street lamps lit up La Seine and it's surrounds
with a soft shimmery glow
.
.

It's a magical time to be on the river ~ soaking up the ambiance
and viewing the many bridges from a different perspective

By the time we returned,  La Tour Eiffel was all lit up
  ~ pretty as a picture~
.................

Bonsoir La Tour

Beautiful. I'd love to go back, but without my kids this time (I'll still take the hubby if he's good).

Fabulous pictures! We enjoyed riding the batobus too, and bought one of those two-day hop on/hop off passes during our last trip.

Oh, what a lovely tour to see La Tour! The boats give a completely different (close-up) perspective of the Seine and a great angle of the bridges...

Lovely post, mon amie!

I've known about the option of the batobus for sometime now, but I've never tried them. I can see I've really been missing something. Next trip, next trip...

What amazing shots of Paris! You've described the "soft shimmering glow" perfectly too..

I've never used the batobus as transportation but I think you can hop on and off! The bigger one is too touristy for me. Hard to hear the audio etc. Love these photos. Brings back memories.
