Beautiful Place des Vosges...

I love to hear French people pronounce this lovely name
Place Des Vosges

~Paris's oldest and most eloquent square~

I sat on the grass eating a baguette with a ripe brie-de-meaux
looked around at the elegant buildings
and thought - This is Paris!!
Just so... special!

I can't believe you're allowed to lounge on the grass there! So un-Parisian.

Hi Dianne,

Oh what a lovely lunch ~ don't you love the crusty baguettes with le fromage.
That was my favourite thing to eat, for a quick lunch.
Your photographs are wonderful of the beautiful Place-des-Vosges.

Happy Thursday
Hugs
Carolyn

J'ai visité ce lieu en 2009 mais c'était en hiver. Je regrette ça parce que je n'a vu pas la beauté comme cette image.

The minute the top of the photo loaded I knew just where it was. Spent a lot of time there last summer as I was lucky enough to live just a few blocks away for 9 days!

It is beautiful indeed. There was some kind of event going on when the musician and I visited during the hot and muggy summer of 2001...but we sat on a bench under the trees near the buildings and rested and cooled off so we could continue our walk back to the Latin Quarter where we were staying. I love that Paris is such a walkable city. I've only been there that one time...
