More splashes of colour.....

Not only is ~L'Isle Sur La Sorgue~ the place to shop for antiquities
it's definitely a place for walking and soaking up the atmosphere
and drinking in these beautiful splashes of colour.
If you could only visit one village in the Vaucluse
I think I would say, this must be it.

The shallow canals that wind around reflect
the beauty of the shop facades and colourful parapluie
dotting the walk-ways and out door eateries.

We've been to L'Isle Sur several times and it's always so lovely and calming. However, the calm disappears on Sunday when the whole town is hopping with antique dealers and lots of shoppers.

L'Isle Sur La Sorgue is definitely a "do not miss" when visiting the south of France.

Oh I know...the best little village, even when parking has to be a distance - the walk is beautiful, and gives one time to get into the feel... what a fantastic image! thank you for sharing. xo Colette ~ Afrique du Sud

These images are incredible. I love the colour and the lighting of them. You're right - the canals reflect the trees and buildlings. I'd love to get a boat and slowly make my way down the canal..

Brittany:- That's exactly what I thought when I saw that flat bottomed boat!! perfect for a slow paddle a round the canals.
