Jazz, glace & a little french style relaxation on the Ile St Louis

On the Pont Saint-Louis
I found this amazing jazz group
with the name of "Les Oignons"
they were great entertainers especially the girl
who not only sang but
performed amazing acrobats !!
she had that ~joie de vivre~

what a wonderful backdrop

anyone for an anti-stress massage ~French style~
I guy by the name of Andre "Tchouk"
trains up his anti-stress brigade
& sends them out onto the streets of Paris
with little folding stools.
They start with back, neck, arms
then legs and finish off with a
beautiful relaxing face massage
I certainly felt invigorated and alive

& to finish off , just a few paces away
is the fabulous "Berhillon Ice-cream Parlour"

And for you Madame / Monsieur ??
Rhubarbe - Chocolat - Pistache-
amande- noix de coco-
or the to die for
caramel au beurre sale.

I had never had any kind of massage in my life until this year..And now..Even though they are quite lovely..I could live w/out..

But I know how beneficial and comforting and soothing they can be..in that ambiance..Oh lala..

Diane of the lovely 2 Stews blog has mentioned that Ile St-Louis..by the grace of God maybe one day I will see it:) Thank you.

Ahh yes, le pont Saint-Louis is one of the most interesting in Paris - joining the two islands and always having something interesting going on! And that ice cream place...

This is what was happening last time I saw this bridge for la Nuit Blanche, by the way! Were you there? Did you see it?

OOOh Dianne
such a gorgeous Friday post!! I love being transported back to my fave Paris and that always happens when I call in here!!
It's Labour weekend here so I feel in holiday mode! We're not going away as things need doing and we're having friends for dinner Sunday night.
But it will be so relaxing and fun catching up.

Have a wonderful relaxing fun weekend!!!

Reading this and looking at the photos make me want to go to Paris.
(But the news reader on TV tell us not to visit the city unless we really have to..... these days.)

I'd love that whole afternoon, Dianne, including the massage and ice-cream. Mmm.

I have a friend who always gives me a neck massage and she really has a go at it...and afterwartds...wonderful! I get distracted very easily, want to see everything and afraid of missing out on something...can one relax there in public with people watching? I know I can eat the ice cream without a problem...unfortunately that will have to wait until next summer...how about showing us soemthing with crepe nutella...now there's a winter delicacy that I love far too much!!

Hi Dianne,

Sounds like the perfect day, ... the jazz, a massage and then to finish it off, an icecream!
The backdrop is wonderful.

Happy weekend

What I wouldn't give for a scoop of Berthillon right now as I wander the Ile St. Louis!

Berthillon is my absolute favorite ice cream in the world (for what I know at least!) It's really worth queuing
