Provence -a profusion of flavours

Any -one for cheese ??
I love the profusion of colours, flavours and ambiance at the
beautiful village markets in Provence

the stall holders are all very proud of their produce
oils-cheeses-vegetables-fruits-breads,pastries
& as you can see at this stall, lovely pottery bowls
ideal for olives or dipping sauces

Poulet -Roti eaten with chunks of crusty bread
dipped in locally pressed olive oil
& served with a crisp green salad
ends a beautiful morning shopping in
the village square.

Poulet-roti and a fresh salad is one of my favorite meals after a morning at the market; mostly because I don't have to cook! :-)

Poulet rôti was always our reward on market day when we lived in Brussels. There's nothing quite like that smell as you stroll through a market. Yikes! I'm hungry now--must be time for an early lunch.

Bon week-end!

Ah authentic French markets! That's something I truly miss and wish that we had here in Australia. I love smelling all the fresh produce and seeing the cute little stalls. That poulet rôti looks fab too.

I wish I had found more markets when we were in Paris but we went in Winter and there weren't many around. I will definitely go in warmer weather next time!

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Dianne, I particularly love the last picture of the table and would love to be sitting right there. Parfait!

Dear Dianne,
What a lovely surprise to stumble upon your page! My real names are Marie Antoinette and I do have a blog named Dining with Marie Antoinette which I started some time ago, but still have to do a lot. I visited Paris in 1991 and also the site where Marie Antoinette was held captive. I was alone, no other visitors and it was really a special moment to share it with my "namesake." Love to go back next year... It's a country that you visit and revisit. Also visited the Chanel shop, Monaco.. Oh what an experience... You're never the same person when you leave Paris, France. I also started following your blog today and will also link it to my blog. I am from South Africa, Port Elizabeth. Au revoir...
